Boltra

Field notes for busy hands

Talk while you work.
Get the guide back.

Narrate your teardowns or builds, and snap pictures in-process. Boltra writes a step-by-step document with your reference images included.

How it works

  1. Record

Start recording while you're working, and narrate as you go. No need to keep your phone unlocked.

  2. Shoot

Take pictures during narration, and they'll automatically be used in the right spot.

  3. Generate

Boltra generates a complete, polished document with ordered steps and helpful images.

You don't have to name things

You said

A hand holding the float bowl just unscrewed from the carburettor behind it, its four screws laid out on the rag

“…and this bit on the bottom comes off, four screws, and there's a rubber ring in there, don't lose that”

Boltra wrote

3Remove the float bowl

Four screws. Recover the O-ring from the groove and keep it with the bowl.

Orientation: O-ring groove upward, against the carburettor body.

You never said “float bowl”. The photograph did.

What it's for

Every guide is a link

Finished guides are web pages. Send one to whoever is doing the job next, or drop it wherever the question got asked. Nothing is public until you share it, and you can pull the link back whenever you like.

Getting it

Recording for hours with the screen off wants a real app rather than a browser tab, and that app is still in testing. It is not on the App Store yet.
